Crème de la Connection
November 19-22, 2026
Pielenhofen, Germany
(near Regensburg)
A spacious sleep-away weekend at a riverside monastery filled with
fusion dance, group games, embodiment workshops—and a sane schedule that won’t leave you destroyed afterwards.
Join us to explore “connection” through mind and body,
seriousness and silliness, cooking and cuddling, and of course, lots of dancing.
We won’t find all the answers—but together, we can skim the crème.

About Crème
WHO’S IT FOR?
Many festivals prioritize catering to dancers who have a few years of dancing under their belt, but at this festival our goal is to connect with everyone! Creme de la Connection welcomes newer dancers with an all-level track, alongside other classes for more experienced dancers.
Regardless of your background, this event is for anyone who cares about dancing for connection: to yourself, to others, and to the music, and to our vibrant community.
HOW IS CRÈME DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FUSION WEEKENDS?
- It’s a sleepaway weekend with lots of privacy. Most rooms have just two beds, and no one sleeps on the floor.
- It’s all-inclusive without breaking the bank. Compared to paying for registration + housing + food at a typical weekend, we think it’s a great deal.
- It’s focused on something that most dancers desire, but seldom explore in depth. Connection!
- We dance a lot—and we also the end things at midnight. So those who value sleep don’t get FOMO… though there may be after-parties.
- It asks for your courage and contribution. We do our own cooking and cleaning, we purposefully expand our comfort zones through games and workshops. This is a non-traditional, community-oriented, and co-created weekend—not just an experience to consume.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
- Embodiment workshops with Flouer! Get out of your head and reconnect with your body.
- Connection games with Blake are now smaller, and we’re more explicit about the vulnerability and intensity levels (a full spectrum will be offered).
- Cuddly winter vibes! We’ll intentionally create a more cozy, indoor, “cuddling in the monastery” atmosphere.
- Microfusion focus: Dancing close & small is often the tastiest “creme” of fusion dance, which is why we’re adding a micro workshop on Friday and adding it to Flouer’s embodiment workshop on Sunday.
We welcome you back!

Activities
ACTIVITIES
We have an array of dance and non-dance activities for you, all based on our theme of connection.
DANCE: Essentials Track
with Flouer & Andy
Welcome one and all! This is a place open and welcoming to all bodies, from all places, with all movement experience levels. We will go back to the roots of the dance, introducing you to the flow, form, and function of partner dancing in an interesting, creative way. Lots of moving, lots of creating, lots of connecting to others.
DANCE: Special Topics Track
These smaller classes will focus on special topics relevant to experienced dancers. Specific topics & teachers will be announced closer to the event. If you’d like to get involved as a teacher, please indicate your interest on the registration form.
CONNECTION GAMES
with Blake
Drawn from the worlds of outdoor education, teambuilding, improv, and authentic relating, our “connection games” include silly warmups, reflective contemplation, hugging, eye contact, and vulnerable sharing. Some will be loud, some will be quiet, some will make you think, and some might make you cry—but all will leave you feeling more connected to yourself and the other participants.
EMBODIMENT WORKSHOPS
with Flouer & guest
Curious about viewing the world from the perspective of how you stand, sit, walk, and talk in the world? These classes will go deep into understanding our patterns and who we are in relationship to others. Tailored specifically to dancers, for dancers.
SKILLSHARES
This is your time to shine! What skill or activity are you excited to share at Creme? Whether it’s movement, music, discussion, or something else, bring whatever inspires you and contributes to our theme of connection.
MICROFUSION WORKSHOP
with Flouer and Blake
If you arrive by Friday at 5pm, you’re warmly invited to join our microfusion workshop—a wonderful way to warm up your body, meet (or reconnect with) other dancers, and drop straight into deep connection. Whether you’re an experienced micro dancer or it’s your first time, you’ll be sad to miss this workshop… so don’t miss it! 🙂
MENTORSHIP FOR NEW DANCERS
Finally, if you’re new to the fusion world—welcome! We’re glad you’re here. When you register, please indicate that you’re like a mentor, and we’ll pair you up with a “buddy” who will explain the culture of fusion dance, introduce you to a few people, and offer to dance with you a bit at each social. (If you’re an experienced dancer who would like to serve as a mentor, you can also indicate this upon registering.)
And if you don’t want to be an official mentor, but you would like to do something special for others at the event… don’t worry, we’ll have something special for you, too! 😉
