The NYC
Convergence Lab
June 16-19, 2026
What is the NYC Convergence lab?
The NYC Convergence Lab is a four day intensive dance training taking place before Motley Hue in NYC, New York.
It’s meant for experienced dancers and has a video audition to attend.
Fusion Dialects:
Emerging styles born on the dance floor
Fusion Dialects puts language, and tools, to something you’ve likely already felt on the fusion floor: over the past 25 years, distinct ways of dancing have quietly taken shape within our community.
In this lab, we’ll explore four of those dialects—Lyrical, Smoothstepping, Throwdown, and Microfusion.
Why?
✨ Honor our history as a fusion community
🛠 Learn core techniques
(Groove, Accordion, Progressive, Flow) directly through fusion—without needing to borrow from another dance form.
🗺 Name what we’re already doing
so we can grow the community, pass on the knowledge, and dance with more freedom and coherence on the floor.
The Berlin
Convergence Lab
May 25-29, 2026
What is the BERLIN Convergence lab?
The Berlin Convergence Lab is a five day intensive dance training taking place after Fusionauts’ Quest in Berlin, Germany.
It’s meant for experienced dancers and has a video audition to attend.
Combining dance forms:
The art of blending, layering, and mixing
We’ll explore what it actually takes to blend styles in a way that feels intentional, musical, and embodied, rather than like a collage of “cool stuff.”
Mark and Flouer will be doing this based on the dances and styles they know—both have backgrounds in blues, lindy hop, and tango, and they love to mix techniques from WCS and Zouk.
You’ll get specific vocabulary and information, and we’ll share practical concepts about layering and combining movements that will help you build your own mixtures of dance forms.
The goal is to leave with new material to play with and a clearer process for how to blend forms with more freedom, coherence, and personal voice.
