Classes

Motley Hue NYC
June 19-21, 2026

We have a new format for our classes this year!

All Full Pass participants will get 6 hours of classes during the weekend.

  • The first two hours will be special topics on Friday night before the dance, from 7-9pm.
  • The other four hours will be leveled with auditions, and you’ll take class EITHER Saturday afternoon OR Sunday afternoon. 😯
  • That means that without sacrificing class time, everyone will get an entire day off to sleep in, spend quality time with their friends, and explore fabulous New York City when it’s at it’s best during the summer. 🤸

Right now classes are only available through purchasing a full pass to the entire weekend.
We may open up individual class days to be purchased separately closer to the event.

In order to meet the needs of our growing fusion community, we are offering two options for classes.

We want to support dancers who are building skills for the joy of learning, connection, and confidence on the social floor—while also creating a space for dancers who’ve invested years into their training and are ready for faster pacing, deeper nuance, and more rigorous feedback.

By separating into two tracks:
…teachers can set clearer goals and offer feedback that matches what each group is working on.
…we build a healthier culture of growth—one that honors different learning speeds and creates multiple pathways to train seriously.

We hope the result is stronger dancing across the whole scene: a shared foundation in The Studio Track, and advanced development in The Conservatory Track that can feed back into the community with skill, clarity, and leadership.

The Studio Track

Classes are from 1-5pm on Saturday.

They will be taught by Flouer & Mark.

The Studio Track is our shared home base: open to everyone, with a focus on strong fundamentals, clear concepts, and a welcoming culture.

Expect to be supported and pushed—material is layered so dancers at different levels can work on the same idea with real challenge and real growth.

This is where we build a shared language, so we can dance together more easily across styles, roles, and backgrounds.

The Conservatory Track

Classes are on Sunday from 3-7pm.

They will be taught by Flouer & Mark.

The Conservatory Track is for more experienced dancers who have spent considerable time in the classroom learning both the creative & technicals skills of fusion (or other specific dance forms).

🎥 It requires a video audition to attend.
🌟You can include a link to your video with your registration, or use the form below to send it later.

🌟 We only need a few minutes of video, and we need to be able to clearly see you.

🌟We are looking for a combination of sophisticated individual movement (can you pivot, groove, separate lower body from upper body, etc) and partnering skills (do you have a solid foundation in stretch/compression, comfortable walking in close embrace, etc)

Friday Night

We are thrilled that Friday night will be taught and hosted by David Accurso from Olympia, Washington.

Not only is David an important staple in the fusion dance community, he brings deep knowledge of multiple dance forms, many of which he has studied in their countries of origin.  In this class, he’ll draw on that experience to bridge both traditional and progressive ideas, bringing both cultural context and practical insight to the fusion dance floor.

Important information:
Class will be from 7-9pm on Friday night at the G&S Loft.

You may come in to the class from 7-7:15pm or right at 8pm.
To keep the classroom culture smooth, you will not be let into the space other than these times.
The dance starts at 9pm, and you are welcome to come anytime after that.

Class Description coming soon.
