Announcing: Motley Hue 2026!
June 19-21, 2026
We are changing our vibe this year! ✨
We’ll still have three nights of dancing in incredible venues and six hours of classes with world-class instructors.
Motley Hue will still bring people together through the joy of partnered movement.
Our event will still be fuelled by endless creativity, strong technique, and the freedom to color outside the lines of traditional dance forms.
We still strive for each dance to become a living experience of connection, community, and self-expression.
We believe that you should be yourself… because everyone else is already taken.
Dance is our art, our celebration, and our avenue for discovery.
So what are we doing different??
- When…
- We’re moving away from the chilly months of March and into the warm summer days of June. ☀️
- Where…
- We have some amazing venues lined up for you… and they’re all in Brooklyn near Prospect Park! 🗽
- This will make it easier for out of towners to find places to stay nearby. 🛌🏻
- We’ll do a picnic in the park on Sunday afternoon with a fusion scene lecture/discussion. 🧺
- What…
- Full passes will get 6 hours of classes during the weekend. 👀
- The first two hours will be special topics on Friday night before the dance. 👥
- The other four hours will be leveled with auditions, and you’ll take class EITHER Saturday afternoon OR Sunday afternoon. 😮
- That means that without sacrificing class time, everyone will get an entire day off to sleep in, spend quality time with their friends, and explore fabulous New York City when it’s best during the summer. 🤸
- Full passes will get 6 hours of classes during the weekend. 👀
Why “Limited Edition”?
Last year was such an incredible success!
And afterwards we weren’t sure how to make another event both sustainable and match our high standards. With our refreshed structure and new venues, we’re thrilled to be bringing it back in a way that feels truly enjoyable—for everyone (even us organizers 🥳).
Full-weekend + dance-only weekend passes will be limited.
Saturday night is in a gorgeous 1920s ballroom, open to everyone—and we won’t sell out!
Registrations will open in February 2026.
Thanks for all your support — past and future. 🙏
Can’t wait to see you on the dance floor again in 2026! 💜
While we wait for registration to open, feel free to reminisce from this year and years past on our facebook page from photographer Ismael Fernandez.
